Louis Wain Fact #48:

Despite arguably changing the course of feline history, how Wain obtained Peter is quite unclear. One of his sisters had said that it was a wedding present from them, while his other sister Claire said that it was a gift from his sisters for his 20th birthday. Recent articles suggest he had been taken in by Louis as a stray, the source of this is unknown.
