Louis Wain Fact #3:

At a party, Wain once refused tea and alcohol, asking for milk instead. Some joker then poured it out into a saucer; Louis was “not amused.” Variations of this story had popped up over the years, with later transmutations recalling Wain specifically requesting milk in a saucer.
