Louis Wain Fact #16:
It is an often told story, that the accident with a bus in 1914 that had resulted in Louis Wain spending weeks recovering from a concussion, was caused by veering out of the way of a stray cat. The heartwarming tale often describes that upon waking up, Wain’s first words were “Is the cat all right?”.
