dailymeower: Miss Kitty went out in Pussy-cat Town,
In a fine new hat and a lovely gown;
And all the kittens as she passed by,
Purred with pleasure, and mewed, "Oh, my!"

dailymeower: Now, Toby was out as well that day,
As usual ready for mischief and play;
He couldn't reach up to her fine new hat!
So her trod on her gown and worried that.

Alas! to-day he's a sad bow-wow,
For he has to wear a muzzle now;
And the kittens laugh as he passes by.
For they all of them know the reason why!

dailymeower: King Tom was a funny old joker,
He told a good story so well,
And he'd sit up as stiff as a poker,
His favorite story to tell.

And always for ten minutes after —
So comic and quaint was his style —
Queen Mab would be roaring with laughter,
While Toby would chuckle and smile

And even the pup in its basket
Would listen to every world,
And would say, if you happened to ask it,
"They story's the best that I've heard."

dailymeower: Three dogs one day resolved to go
And have their picture done;
And Pug had got a lovely bow —
The other two had none.

And when they saw his fine display,
With envy they were seized;
Their sulky faces showed that they
Were anything but pleased

But Puggie gave a merry laugh,
For he enjoyed the fun;
And this is how that photograph
Appeared when it was done.

dailymeower: "What wonderful physic!" said they,
"How very instructive the case is!"
So they marched very gravely away,
With solemn and dignified faces.

While poor little Tiny lay there,
With his poor little legs in the air.

dailymeower: So they caught the poor dog then and there,
And forced him some physic to swallow,
And watched with professional air
To see the effect that would follow.

Alas! with a weak little moan,
Poor Tiny fell dead as a stone.

dailymeower: Three quaint little doctors one day
Consulted with serious faces,
To judge by their manner, you'd say
That it was the gravest of cases.
And Tiny was listening near,
And he somehow began to feel queer.
